TeraRecon Showcases HoloPortal at Premier Inc.'s Annual Breakthroughs Conference

Nashville, TN - June 20th, 2018, June 21, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- TeraRecon’s HoloPortal^TM is one of the medical innovations that was showcased in front of thousands of healthcare providers at Premier Inc.’s 2018 Breakthroughs Conference and Exhibition on June 19.  

 

TeraRecon’s HoloPortal was debuted to Premier members during the conference’s 10^th annual Innovation Celebration, an event recognizing advancements in healthcare and highlighting suppliers dedicated to furthering innovation and improving patient outcomes in the industry.

The HoloPortal allows clinicians, students and patients to engage with medical imaging for education, collaboration and discussion purposes. This is accomplished by wearing augmented reality glasses, such as the Microsoft Hololens^®, and interacting with medical imaging studies using voice and gesture controls. Leveraging Microsoft’s Azure^® as a high-powered GPU-enabled computing platform, the AR solution is co-hosted in TeraRecon’s iNtuition^TM Cloud and uses image streaming technology optimized for superior speed and responsiveness.
