The person who died during a graduation ceremony at Ohio State University over the weekend has been identified as a mom of one of the graduates.

The Franklin County Coroner's Office told PEOPLE in an email that Larissa Brady, 53, was pronounced dead on May 5 at 12:25 p.m. local time. The Georgia woman was identified on May 7 by her fingerprints, the agency said.

“Ohio State is grieving the death of Larissa Brady, a family member of one of our graduates," OSU spokesperson Ben Johnson said in a statement, per CBS News, The Columbus Dispatch and the New York Post. "Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this exceptionally difficult time."

PEOPLE has reached out to the spokesperson for comment.

An investigation into Brady's death continues, but the university said that police do not suspect the foul play, according to the reports. Preliminary reports from the coroner's office said her death is being investigated as an apparent suicide, reported The Dispatch.

Brady's daughter had been receiving her bachelor's degree during the ceremony, the Dispatch reported, citing the graduation program.

The coroner's office report shared that she spoke to her daughter when she entered the stadium for the ceremony, per the paper. CBS affiliate WBNS reported that the university said that 12,555 students received their diploma or certificate in person.

The Columbus Dispatch previously reported that the ceremony continued without interruption and speakers did not mention the incident.

In the school's initial statement, Johnson said that counseling and other support resources will be made available "for anyone affected" by the incident.
